The Chinese Zodiac

My introduction to the
12 signs of the Chinese zodiac

Often, nowadays, such an overview of zodiac signs is treated as something to mull over and food for thought as opposed to a strict guide.

I’m sure during the periods of time when there was an absence of clearer, deeper and more substantial knowledge of people’s characters, it was a brilliant starting point from which to raise, nurture and guide people and their futures.  However, some people allow far too great an acceptance and imposition from theory to reality.

Nowadays, there there is recognition of many other influencing factors in life, which can convolute and pollute these, ultimately, innate characteristics.  But I personally feel that discovery of yourself through life and your own deciphering of your experiences, influences and your actions upon and results of you living your life is far greater than prior “knowledge” of your “innate” characteristics.

However, these descriptions are based on ancient discoveries, compilation of data, research, advancements and teachings and I have always found the adjectives, phrasings and textual drawings of personalities a great learning curve for describing people I know regardless of fit with a certain zodiac sign.  Current day psychologists have even established psychology tests entitled: “What is your true astrological sign?”.
