This is a personal selection from Salinas swimwear show in Rio de Janeiro for summer 2012.
“Since its inception in 1997, Salinas has established itself as one of the most sought after fashion bikinis in the market. With its Brazilian roots planted firmly in the sand, the brand captures the design, quality and passion of Brazil like no one else.
It was not until 1997, when Tyra Banks graced the cover of Sports Illustrated coveted swimsuit issue that Salinas was on its way to becoming a global brand, influencing the market in its style and setting the standard for highest lycra quality.
Now with its wide range of prints and styles Salinas… (has)celebrity fans such as Madonna, Kate Hudson, and top models like Gisele Bundchen, Carolyn Murphy, Christy Turlington, Valeria Mazza, and Adriana Lima it is hard not to see the suits gracing numerous fashion magazines today.
Salinas is dedicated to bringing their creative style, exotic flair and high quality fabrics to tropical islands jet set destinations, deserted beaches, pool parties and local spots world- wide.”
Apparently Brazilian bikinis are:
- the smallest in the world,
- fit comfortably i.e. don’t squeeze you so *do not* make you feel fat, *AND*
- don’t create the ‘wedge’ effect of moving up your butt cheeks…
… … I have to say that’s sounding too good to be true !
And the models say when they buy a bikini it must be Brazilian, including Salinas… hey, I’m just repeating what they’re saying!
