“Kate Middleton’s High Street Style Hits” by MarieClaire.co.uk

For quite a while now, the British press has been lauding Kate Middleton’s style and on 28 May 2011, Marie Claire’s online magazine wrote:

“The Duchess of Cambridge is fast becoming the reigning queen of high street style – look back at her most famous affordable buys.”

  1. Kate Middleton: Reiss Shola dress
Kate Middleton continued her reign as the queen of British high street style, choosing a fitted taupe dress from Reiss to meet Michelle and Barack Obama.  The newlywed joined her husband to meet America’s First Couple at Buckingham Palace, and teamed her £175 dress with an Anya Hindmarch clutch and glowing holiday tan! Luckily, taupe proves the perfect compliment to a sunkissed skin!

  2. Kate Middleton: Blue Zara dress
For her first outing post-Wedding, Kate opted for a simple pleated Zara dress in her favourite colour; peacock blue.

  3. Kate Middleton: LK Bennett wedges
It was top-to-toe high street for the lovely Ms Middleton, as she completed her look with some black patent LK Bennett espadrille wedges.

  4. Kate Middleton: Reiss Nanette dress
Forget designer names, Kate Middleton proved she’s a high street girl at
heart, when she chose a Reiss dress for her official Mario Testino
    engagement photos
. The Reiss Nannette dress retailed at £159.

  5. Kate Middleton: Whistles blouse
For a second engagement shot, Kate chose a Whistles £95 scallop edge blouse, that instantly sold out, only to be reissued and renamed as
    ‘The Kate’.
