“… in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
9. And let us not grow wearing while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
10. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Really, though, reaping of what you sow is not automatic. Hence the need for modern-day advanced security and accounting techniques to protect and keep track of investments: incomings, outgoings, what we have in stock, returns, profits and interests. Assuming automatic harvest did not work out for many of us, we just lost out and called it ‘generosity’. Nothing wrong with being generous, in fact it is considered a virtue; but being generous to a fault is wrong is more ways than one. It creates deprivation in the wrong places. But then again, you could say there is deep learning and discovery in deprivation and deficit.
